U3A Maribyrnong is a membership-based, not-for-profit, volunteer-led and run community group that offers a program of activities run by members for members.
We share our skills, knowledge, experience and interests to provide free or low-cost courses and activities. We offer a broad program of recreational, cultural, educational and social programs, in a welcoming, inclusive and non-judgemental environment.

The Big Reveal!
It’s time folks. The curtain will be raised, the media silence will be lifted. The unseen creatures will be seen!
In late 2025 and early 2026 our u3aMaribyrnong sustainability series of classes offered the unseen creatures community quilting project, in partnership with Maribyrnong River and Waterways Association. You will have seen our different creatures come alive – every one different and every one in real life vital to the health of the river.
The creativity of communities along the Maribyrnong and its sources (u3a Maribyrnong is the most productive group) will be on full display. The quilt or rather a quilted triptych , will be launched 2pm at the Melbourne Quilt and Craft Fair on the 9th September and on display during the show.
Come along and support our stitchers and quilters and out local Maribyrnong River.

You are looking at our new website. Isn’t it fantastic. It has everything you need to join, enrol in a class and to find out about us.
If you are a current member you will need to register on our new system, so that you can enrol in a class, let the facilitator know if you won’t be attending and to renew your membership. If you are a facilitator, you will also need to register.
Just go to the login on the tool bar and follow the prompts. You can register using either your email or member number. If you are sharing an email with another member, you will need to use your membership number. All your information will already be on the system, but you will need to set a password. You can use your old password or create a new one.

Acknowledgement of Country
U3A Maribyrnong acknowledges the Wurundjeri - Woi Wurrung and Bunurong - Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we come together.
